Ich habe auch mein Ticket (79 Euro ) mit der dB für eine Bearbeitungsgebühr von 19 Euro tauschen können .. und die was nicht schuld und hat einen schlechten Ruf ;) gerne flexibler werden wenn Flexibilität von Passagieren erwartet wird . Finn Air asked me if I would give up my seat they would get me on the next Finn Air flight to Chicago. I did and they even up graded me to business class on the next flight. It was the best flight experience of my life. Great food, hosts, and service. It was very comfortable the entire way."
Positiv: "The Airbus 330 is an improvement over the Boeing 737 that took me to Europe (via Milan) on this trip. Unlike that flight, this plane is equipped with an updated on demand entertainment system. I attribute the upgraded airplane to the fact that this was a direct flight from HEL to JFK. Still no wifi though... Their magazine says it's coming. Upgrading to Economy Comfort is worth the fee especially if you get a bulkhead seat. Otherwise you are still pretty crammed in with maybe 6" more leg room. But the bulkhead seats are set well back from the wall to give my long legs plenty of room to stretch and get in and out of my seat. My friends in Economy looked miserable :( The chili con carne with rice was an improvement over other airline meals but still room for improvement - mostly in presentation I guess. Lingonberry 'salad' though a bit sour for me, was a nice Finnish dish to sample. Like the cheese and crackers. Departed and arrived on time. Liked the flight tracking that showed you very detailed what you were passing over and even gave us a bit of info and photos about highlights of each region flown over. Nice touch."
Negativ: "This plane was such an improvement over the "bucket" that flew me to Europe that it has restored my faith in Finnair as a valid carrier for my yearly trip to Europe - like I said, probably because it is a direct flight to New York rather than connecting to another European (not Scandanavian) city like Milan. I would probably not use Finnair to access other parts of Europe for this reason. (On the departure end, the regional Finnair flight from Milan to Helsinki was also sub-standard.) I do think the check-in procedure is still cumbersome - self check in with bag check, though started at kiosks, still results in a long line just to hand off your bag to a counter agent. A few more agents would likely solve that problem... But it was better than going the other way - JFK was a nightmare! Helsinki only slightly better."

What made me very frustrated and angry is that when I contacted Finnair to reschedule the flight I was told the flight was managed by British Airways and I would have to contact them When I contacted British Airways they said it was a Finnair flight and I had to contact them. I finally had no recourse but to buy another ticket through another airline. I feel that I should be reimbursed for my Finnair ticket from London to New York! I paid for a flight I never took. (The Finnair flight from New York to London was fine.)"

Negativ: "Long flight with no screens on the back of the seats with personal entertainment options. Furthermore, I had a middle seat and my shoulders kept knocking into my neighbors. Worst of all, my seat didn't incline as far as the people on either side of me. Sleeping is already hard on a plane, and this made it way worse...not to mention my knees were jammed into the seat in front of me the whole time."

We were left to figure it out by ourselves. Crew: The impression was that all the flight attendants from HiFly were untrained. The did not know what to do an how to do. They seemed lost on the plane. Comfort: Plane seemed to be re-purchased from some Arab airline. Food: bad Entertainment: v system was broken. Information system was showing wrong current time."

And, if this flight is not going to offer the amenities accustomed to a typical trans-atlantic flight (such as in-seat TV), then the price should be substantially cheaper. I will be complaining to the airline itself for this, and may not fly this airline again."

Outraging policy to offer more bookings than available seats that turned out into my wife and me being put in standby when we had purchased our tickets last July. Waiting for 30-40 minutes to claim our baggage to know it had been left in our origin destination in the end so it would probably be delivered 2 days later since the next flight would arrive the following day but late in the evening and more time wasted on the lane to claim for it that caused to miss our connecting train that would take us home and we had to wait for another hour to take the next so we finally got home 2 hours later than expected. We will never use again another company from the one world alliance."

Das Personal hat durchgehend auf allen 4 Flügen meiner Reise mit Iceland Air auf isländisch vor sich hin getratscht, während dem Flug und auch am Ende zur Verabschiedung, zusätzlich waren die Englischkenntnisse des Bordpersonals meist eher rudimentär. Werbung für einen Stopover in Island bekommt man überall, vor allem innerhalb des Entertainment Programms welches sich nicht einschalten lässt ohne das man einen 5,5 minütigen Werbefilm anschauen muss. teils zieht sich das weiter wenn man einen Film ansehen will. Icelandair hatte uns einen Flug mit 30 Min Umsteigezeit gescheduled - was mich sehr nervös gemacht hat als wir dann Verspätung am Rollfeld hatten und dann noch Bus fahren mussten. Der Anschlussflieger hatte sein Boarding bis kurz vor Abflug geöffnet und wir haben es dann easy geschafft. Man muss auch erwähnen, dass es in Reykjavik mangels Sitzmöglichkeiten einfach ewig lange Schlangen gibt in die man sich einreihen muss. Wenn man auf den günstigen Preis verzichten kann: nie wieder Iceland Air!"

Mir wurde im vollen Flugzeug ein Sitz in der letzten Reihe gegeben, dessen Rucklehne nicht verstellbar war. Zusammengenommen war es die schlechteste Erfahrung eines Fluges in den letzten Jahren. Ich werde definitiv nicht mehr mit Icelandair fliegen."

Once through immigration, you are dumped directly in to the DUTY FREE SHOP that you can NOT avoid. Imagine being late for your next flight, and having to steer your carry on baggage around crowded store isles! Then, you manage to find your gate...which is an effort in itself, as there are few signs...and there is ONE agent checking boarding passes of this massive crowd that is not lined up at ALL. Once in the air, Iceland Air performs well. But on the ground, it is nothing less than a MESS."

Then we finally get on Plane and the entire entertainment system is down. No movies or way to charging phones etc!!!!! For a 6 hour flight that was so frustrating!!!! Then you would think that Icelandair for all the problems would at least comp our meals and drinks!! NOPE!! Pay full price. Flight attendance were great! But we only doing what they were told. I would not take this airline again."

I really liked IcelandAir on the way to Europe, but the way back to the US was terrible and I will steer clear from purchasing a ticket with this airline next time."

They also check the hand luggage to make sure it fits in the "template" and weigh it (a second time) at the gate. Once on-board, they then announced that they were waiting for other connecting passengers. Took about 45 minutes. It would be nice to know that before booking that they do this, and also before boarding, even if it makes more sense to start boarding before they arrive (but 45 minutes before?). The live map on the public screens in economy showed a dummy/overview map with "waiting for data" the entire flight, rather than the actual live map. Premium did have the data on their screens, and the individual screens also worked fine. Not sure what happened there..."

Cancelled our outgoing flight hours before it was set to leave; notified us via email; barely got re-booked via different airlines and had to take 3 different flights to reach out destination; missed the 2nd flight because LOT put us on a flight that was departing 30 minutes before out 1st flight arrived. 2. When we got another 2nd flight, we arrived at our final destination without our bags. LOT assured us that our bags were on our flight before we boarded but calling and confirming that they were able to transfer our bags (only had 40 minutes between flights), but of course, it was a complete lie. We did not get our bag until the next day in the evening over 24 hours later. At that point I was happy they found them and gave them to us. 3. Turns out, they cancel flights pretty often and they also book people on transfer flights that are too close for people to make it. We traveled with a handful of other passengers that had the same experience and people were in tears about their horrible travel experience. 4. Warsaw Airport - they only have 5 passport control officers clearing travelers and because they don;t have lines or any type of organization of these travelers, the lines our out of control. People are pushing each other, crying because they are missing flights or not feeling well because of no air and all the pushing and shoving. I was pregnant standing in the line for over 40 minutes. They would not let pregnant passengers or passengers with kids with them pass in their disabled line. Only people in the wheelchairs were allowed to pass there. Horrible airport and even more horrible airline! PLEASE SPARE YOURSELF AND DO NOT RUIN YOUR VACATION."

Eine Ablage im Mittelgang ging nicht mehr zu während des Fluges. Eine Stewardes hat dann mittels eines Schraubenziehers diverse Befestigungen nachjustiert, danach ging die Ablage wieder zu. Meine Frau hatte einen Rollstuhl für Heathrow bestellt, welcher bei der Ankunft nicht da war. Angeblich musste die Maschine ausserplanmässig an einem anderen Ort andocken. Das Handgepäck wird anscheinend nicht richtig geprüft beim Check-In. Mehrere Leute hatten so schwere Koffer dabei, dass sie 2 Leute brauchten um diese in die Ablage zu wuchten. Das Video-Angebot ist sehr dürftig und auch speziell für Deutsche Sprache kaum vorhanden. Auch die Screens sind absolut nicht mehr der technischen Möglichkeiten der Zeit entsprechen."

Positiv: "Tiny airplane but single flght crew managed my and from what I could see fellow passengers needs commendably. Whilst I didn't like needing to hand in my carry on (without much warning so I didn't have time to pull out a magazine to read) on the plus side it was stored well as my suit carrier came out unscathed and you get your bags curb side as soon as the plane lands so you don't have to wait for the rest of the bags to unload."
Negativ: "Because the airplane is so small there is not much room to move in the aisle (thankfully most people just sat down for the short flight), also you have to hand in your carry on baggage so that it is stored with the main bags."
